
KUCHING: Kuching Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed that police received a report from a 23-year-old local woman regarding a vandalism incident that occurred at around 12.30 pm on Wednesday at a sales office along Jalan Datuk Tawi Sli, Kuching.
Initial investigation revealed that a 46-year-old local man damaged several display items after becoming dissatisfied with the service provided by the staff.
Following the report, a police team from Sungai Maong Police Station arrested the suspect at the scene on the same day.
He is currently being held at the Central Police Station lockup in Kuching.
The court has approved a four-day remand order from October 24 to 27, 2025, to assist in the investigation under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
