KUCHING: Bau police have arrested a man from Kampung Grogo, Bau who tested positive for drugs during a screening conducted at the Bau District Police Headquarters today.
Bau District police chief, Superintendent Mohd Haide A Rahaman, said the arrest was made following an earlier case report, with the suspect brought to the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division office for testing.
“The initial urine test showed the suspect was positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
“The suspect also admitted to consuming syabu a day before his arrest. He is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” Mohd Haide said.
