Woman found dead in MJC motel

KUCHING: Padawan Police Chief, Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi classified the death of a woman in her 30s as sudden death report.

Irwan said at this moment, police is investigating and will further assess the situation once a post mortem is conducted.

A woman in her 30s was found dead on the first floor of a motel in MJC around 2.00 pm, today.

The victim, a local resident, had checked into the hotel the previous night.

Hotel staff discovered her body after she failed to check out by the usual 12.00 pm checkout time.

Upon finding her unresponsive, the staff alerted the police.

Police brought the remains to Sarawak General Hospital morgue after 5.00 pm.
