
KUCHING: A woman from Pine Residence, Batu Kawa, lost cash of RM25,000 and gold jewellery, last night.
The victim reported that she was left shaken after discovering that her home had been burglarized in the early hours, early this morning.
In her report, she said she woke up around 2.30 a.m. when she heard something fall and went to check.
She saw that her bedroom window was open.
The victim went downstairs to investigate and found that her handbag, which was on a chair at the dining table, was gone.
According to her, the stolen handbag contained valuable items, including her MyKad, a Class D driving license, a Maybank ATM card, a necklace with a gold pendant, a Huawei mobile phone, and RM25,000 in cash.
The total loss is still being determined, and the victim has lodged a police report for further investigation.
Padawan Police Chief, Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the case is being investigated.
