KUCHING: Batu Kitang State Assemblyman Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, who continued his second day of Aidilfitri visits, said he was warmly touched by the hospitality of the Malay community.
“Aidilfitri is more than just a celebration; it is a time that strengthens our unity, where people of all races and backgrounds come together as one big family.
“In Sarawak, we cherish this spirit of harmony, embracing our differences and celebrating side by side in peace and friendship.
“As we reflect on the values of forgiveness and togetherness, let us continue to spread kindness and understanding, building even stronger bonds within our community,” he said.
Lo pointed out that this unity makes Sarawak shine as a model for others, setting it apart from other states.
“During all festive seasons, people of all races come together to celebrate joyfully and harmoniously,” he said.
He attributed this to the wise leadership in Sarawak, which has set an exemplary standard.
He noted that Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg open house reflects this spirit, as he welcomes all Sarawakians to join in the celebration.
Lo extended his warmest wishes to his Muslim friends, saying, “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir dan Batin.”
