KUCHING: Kuching Water Board (KWB) has deploy a team to assess a serious water pipe leak at Lorong Ketitir 3 after a report was lodged.
Special Assistant to MP Stampin, Michael Kong said they had informed KWB of the big leak and given the urgency of the issue, KWB personnel were seen actively working to replace the damaged water pipe.
Kong appreciated KWB’s prompt action and said such timely intervention is not only essential in restoring water services but also plays a key role in reducing Non-Revenue Water (NRW), an issue that costs the state millions each year.
He said this incident underscores the power of collective effort.
“When the concerns of the people are heard and acted upon, positive change is possible. At times, the public may feel that their complaints are ignored. This is why we continue to serve as a bridge between the people and the authorities, ensuring that concerns are not only heard but also addressed,” he said.
Whether it’s a leaking pipe or more significant issues impacting public welfare, Kong added that they remained committed to being the voice of the people, because they deserve a government that is responsive and accountable.
