Water disruption along Jalan Canna resolved

REPAIR done.

KUCHING: Special Assistant to MP Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong said the recent water disruption along Jalan Canna has finally been resolved after close monitoring and follow-up with Sarawak Water.

“Many households and businesses, however, had to endure a water outage since last night, causing significant inconvenience and losses. This is unacceptable, especially when basic utilities like water are disrupted for extended periods without timely communication or mitigation,” he said.

Kong added that it is crucial for the Kuching Autonomous Rapid Transit System (KUTS) to consider reimbursing affected business owners, particularly small businesses, for their losses.

He also expressed disappointment that the local ADUN has yet to address the issue but affirmed that they will continue raising the matter on behalf of the people.
