
KUCHING: House of Joy marked its 9th Anniversary with a Charity Fair that featured 68 stalls selling goods and merchandise in support of the centre’s operations and initiatives for individuals with special needs.
Special Assistant to MP Stampin, Michael Kong presented a RM5,000 contribution on behalf of the Stampin MP. He also highlighted that DAP Sarawak had set up a stall during the fair, successfully raising an additional RM2,201 for House of Joy.
“House of Joy has long been at the forefront of advocating for the welfare and empowerment of individuals with special needs. Their tireless dedication has given countless individuals a renewed sense of purpose, dignity, and hope,” he said.
He commended the organisation not only for providing care but also for equipping its beneficiaries with skills to uplift themselves and lead more fulfilling lives.
Kong stressed that the charity fair exemplifies the importance of community solidarity and the collective role in supporting meaningful initiatives.
“DAP remains committed to working hand in hand with organisations like House of Joy to continue empowering our communities, uplifting lives, and ensuring that no one is left behind,” he added.
