SUPT Rusdin Banin.

Rusdin said the raid was made at Lot 631, Industrial Estate, 2nd Mile, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Bintulu.

He said upon inspection, his men found the premises being used as a storage site for various types of frozen meat, suspected to be imported illegally and intended for sale in the local market without valid documentation.

The offence was under the Veterinary Public Health Ordinance 1999.

The suspect was also to be charged under three other Acts: the Supply Control Act 1961, the Environmental Quality Act (Amendment 2012), and the Food Act 1983.

Rusdin urged anyone with information on such crimes to come forward. He said this kind of public support is crucial in curbing criminal activities.
