
KUCHING: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) is organizing its 2025 Recycled Goods Buy-Back Campaign, along with an electrical and electronics waste collection, used cooking oil collection, and used clothing donation drive.

According to a statement released by MPP, this initiative is held in collaboration with various agencies and non-governmental organizations, including the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB), Department of Environment (DEAS), Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd., Kim Huang Enterprise, and Tzu Chi Foundation Kuching.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 8, from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at the parking lot behind DIY, Batu Kawah, near the Shell station.
Members of the public is encouraged to participate by bringing recyclable items such as electrical and electronic waste, used cooking oil, and pre-loved clothing.
This effort aims to promote environmental awareness, encourage responsible waste disposal, and support those in need through clothing donations.
