
ASAJAYA: The Malaysian Cooperative Council (MCC) presented RM3,000 from its Cooperative Emergency Relief Fund to the Asajaya Cooperative.
According to Asajaya Cooperative Council Chairman, Phang Siew Boon, the fund received is to assist in covering damages caused by natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances which occurred recently.

He said it during the group visit comprised of 15 senior officials, including Chairman of MCC Lieutenant General Datuk Ahmad Jalal, Member of Parliament (MP) for Batang Sadong Rodiyah Saiee, MCC CEO Datuk Rusli Jaafar and officials from the Cooperative Council.
“The delegation toured the banana farm before proceeding to the official opening of the oil palm harvesting center, which was established by the Asajaya Cooperative in January 2024.
“The visit aimed to strengthen ties between Malaysian Cooperative Council’s collaboration with its affiliated cooperatives, promote sustainable development and enhance the economic contributions of cooperatives to local communities,” he said.
Malaysian Cooperative Council’s top leadership led by its Chairman, Lieutenant General Datuk Ahmad Norlihan Jalal and his delegates arrived in Asajaya on Wednesday to look at the vast farm of Cavendish banana farm planted this year.
