KUCHING:  Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Wilfred Yap said he is preserving cultural heritage and strengthening community ties with a RM20,000 contribution to the Chin Kiun Thai Ti & Tai Pak Kung Temple at Jalan Semaba.

Giving the fund to the temple, he said it would go toward essential maintenance work and the continuation of religious and cultural activities that bring the community together.

“Places of worship are pillars of tradition, culture, and social unity. I will continue to work closely with the temple committee to ensure it remains a vibrant place for both residents and worshippers,” he said.

Yap also reiterated his commitment to the systematic upgrading of infrastructure along Jalan Semaba to improve accessibility and safety for all road users.

The temple’s management committee expressed gratitude to Yap for his ongoing support and concern for the needs of the local community.
