KUCHING: A teenager lost his life in an accident on Wednesday evening at KM3 Jalan Serian/Gedong at 7.50 pm.
Serian District Police Chief DSP Neil Beginda said the victim was identified as Ziestonovic Ivan Jenny from Kampung Triboh, Serian.
He said from initial investigation, Ziestonovic lost control of his motorcycle, crashed into the opposite lane, and collided with an oncoming car.
He sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His remains were taken to the Forensic Department of Serian Hospital for further examination. Meanwhile, the car driver was unharmed.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
