
KUCHING: Special assistant to Stampin MP Michael Kong extended a small contribution to the Kuching Foochow Association’s Women’s Wing in recognition of their ongoing efforts to preserve Foochow culture and values.
Reflecting on the personal significance of the association, Kong said, “Growing up, I remember how active my late father was in the association. It’s a meaningful moment for me to now give back and play a small part in supporting the association that meant so much to him.”
He commended the Women’s Wing for their tireless dedication to the community, highlighting their role in cultural preservation and youth development through educational initiatives.
“I truly appreciate the Women’s Wing’s commitment. Their efforts ensure that the Foochow heritage continues to thrive while nurturing the younger generation. I will continue to support their noble endeavours for the benefit of our community and future generations,” he added.
