KUCHING: Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap, together with Kuching South City Council (MBKS) officers, carried out a final inspection of the completed Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2024 parking project at Masjid Darul Barakah, Taman Satria Jaya BDC.
The RM300,000 project, implemented under the RTP initiative, involved the construction of a parking facility to serve worshippers of Masjid Darul Barakah and residents in the surrounding area. The new facility is expected to ease traffic congestion during peak prayer times and community activities while improving accessibility.
Yap commended MBKS for its supervision and monitoring of the project, ensuring it was completed to standard. He said the initiative reflected the state government’s focus on delivering projects that benefit local communities.
“The GPS Government remains committed to ensuring that every RTP allocation brings real and lasting benefit to the people. This parking facility is another example of how government funding directly improves daily lives,” he said.
The completion of the project underscores collaboration between elected representatives, local authorities, and the community in implementing grassroots development.
