KUCHING: Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap conducted a site visit to Taman Rekreasi Jalan Semaba, Lorong 2, where he officially handed over the Letter of Award to Jujin General Contractor for the second phase of upgrading works under the 2024 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
The project, valued at RM50,000, marks a continuation of improvement efforts following the successful completion of the first phase last year, which also cost RM50,000. With both phases combined, a total of RM100,000 has been allocated to enhance the recreational facility.
Yap said the plan is to improve public infrastructure and the quality of life for residents in Kota Sentosa.
“Public recreational spaces are important in building strong, healthy, and connected communities and the neighbourhoods deserve facilities that encourage family time, social engagement, and overall well-being. I will continue to work closely with the relevant agencies to meet these needs,” he said.
Yap added that development funding must be directed towards projects that have a meaningful impact on people’s everyday lives, especially those that support community well-being and grassroots priorities.
The site visit was conducted together with officers from the Padawan Municipal Council.
