KUCHING: State Assemblyman for Kota Sentosa, Wilfred Yap, has contributed 250 chairs and a hot-and-cold water dispenser to SK Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim, Kem Semenggo, in response to a request from the school’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA).
He said the contribution is aimed at improving the comfort and learning environment for students while supporting the school’s academic and co-curricular activities.
“Education plays a critical role in human capital development. It is the foundation for shaping future leaders and equipping our young generation with the skills needed to contribute to Sarawak’s progress. I will continue to assist schools in Kota Sentosa to ensure our children receive the best possible environment for learning,” he said.
Yap added that providing proper facilities is essential in creating a conducive learning atmosphere, which supports Sarawak’s goal of becoming a progressive and prosperous state.
The PTA and school management expressed their appreciation for the donation, noting that it will benefit both students and teachers while strengthening the partnership between the school and the local community.
