A search was conducted and one of the suspects was found with a blue plastic packet containing crystalline substances believed to be syabu, weighing about 0.30 grams.
The drugs were discovered inside a waist pouch labeled ‘Sport Best Fashion.’ Also found in the pouch was a MyKad belonging to one of the suspects. The three suspects, all labourers are aged between 29 to 39 from Samarahan and Kuching.

All three claimed they obtained the drugs directly from an individual known only as ‘Apun’ in Kampung Melayu. The supplier is currently being tracked by police.
Damataries said preliminary investigation revealed that the 31 from Samarahan and 29 from Kuching have previous drug-related cases under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Only the 39 also from Samarahan has no prior record.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of RM33. All three suspects are currently held at the Kota Samarahan police lockup and are being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
