KUCHING: Padawan Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, has provided an update on the recent stone-throwing incident that occurred along Jalan Batu Kawa near the Paragon Concrete factory.
The update was shared during a courtesy visit to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman, Tan Kai.
When contacted, Tan Kai told Utusan Sarawak that he had a frank and meaningful discussion with Supt Irwan on the crime situation in Padawan.
He said both parties exchanged views on current issues and explored effective strategies to curb crime and enhance public safety in the area.
“The public must work together with the police in the fight against crime. Supt Irwan has always been open to receiving feedback and information related to criminal activities,” said Tan Kai.
He added that prompt action by the public in reporting crimes would significantly improve the chances of solving cases.
“Time is critical. If the public informs the police immediately after a crime occurs, the chances of solving the case are much higher,” he said.
