Damaterius said the arrest was made following a patrol operation early this morning at 1.30 am in front of Diwey Tyres & Batteries Co. at Midway Crescent.
He said a patrol team from the Crime Prevention Unit spotted the man acting suspiciously and proceeded to conduct a body check.

He said initial investigations revealed that the vehicle belongs to the suspect’s wife, and that the premises had no CCTV installed.
Damaterius said the suspect has a history of previous offences related to drug abuse and assault, including cases reported at Sekama and Tabuan Jaya police stations. He has since tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine use during a urine screening.
