KUCHING: Preparations are well underway for the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Kuching Branch’s 66th anniversary celebration, with all tickets now fully sold out ahead of the event. This year’s celebration carries the theme “66 Years of Resilience, One Journey Together.”
Speaking on the event, SUPP Kuching Branch Youth Chairman Nicholas Wung said the strong public response was both encouraging and humbling.
“We are heartened by the overwhelming support from the public. The fact that tickets sold out so quickly reflects the people’s continued confidence in SUPP and the work we’ve done over the years,” he said.
Wung, who is also the event’s organising chairman, noted that the anniversary celebration would not only commemorate the party’s long history, but also highlight the contributions of the Youth and Women Sections in charting SUPP’s future direction.
He said both the Youth and Women Sections are proud to work together in making this milestone meaningful.
The organising committee has already begun outreach visits to local associations and community groups, underscoring the party’s commitment to maintaining close ties with the grassroots.
Guests who have received confirmed invitations are reminded to arrive on time and join the celebration, which promises to be a meaningful reflection of SUPP’s journey over the past 66 years.
The Anniversary Dinner will be held on Sunday, June 29 at 5.00 pm (Happy Hour) and 6.30 pm (Official Start) at Theatre Hotel Kuching.
