
KUCHING: The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Kuching Branch has begun preparations for its 66th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled to take place on 29 June 2025 at Theatre Hotel. Themed “66 Years of Resilience, One Journey Together,” the event highlights the party’s enduring unity and dedication to the people.
Organising committee is co-chaired by Cr. Wung Duk Ying, Youth Chief and Chai Mian Nyen, Women’s Chief who stated that they have actively started groundwork for the celebration, receiving strong support from fellow branch members.
As part of their preparation, Cr. Wung and committee members, joined by SUPP Branch Deputy Chairman Jong Yean Pin, paid courtesy visits to central party leaders at SUPP Headquarters.
They met with Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Chairman of SUPP Senadin Branch, Francis Harden, Chairman of SUPP Simanggang Branch and Mr. Lim Ah Ted, Chairman of SUPP Batu Kawa Branch.
Each leader expressed confidence in the Kuching Branch’s efforts and commended the dedication shown by the Youth and Women’s wings. They offered words of encouragement, urging continued unity and commitment to the party’s mission in serving the people and future generations.
“This anniversary is not only a moment to reflect on our 66-year journey, but also a chance to showcase the power of unity and the importance of youth and women’s participation,” said Cr. Wung. “Our theme highlights the spirit of continuity, shared purpose, and collective strength. We are grateful for the support from the central leadership, fellow branches, and our generous sponsors. Their trust motivates us to make this celebration a memorable one.”
The organising committee invites all party members, supporters, and the public to join the celebration. It promises to be a meaningful occasion, marking the growth of SUPP Kuching Branch and reaffirming its commitment as the party prepares for the upcoming Sarawak state election.
