Repair works underway at SJK (C) Stampin after strong winds cause damage

ROOF Repairs done at SJK(C) Stampin. 

KUCHING: Strong winds early Tuesday morning caused damage to SJK(C) Stampin, dislodging several aluminium louvres and affecting the plaster ceiling on the top floor of the school’s main block. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Special Assistant to MP Stampin, Michael Kong who visited the school to inspect the situation, confirmed that emergency repairs are already in progress.

“A businessman, Lee Chin Teck has stepped forward to personally oversee the repair works and has generously contributed towards the costs of restoring the damaged louvres and ceiling. We are truly grateful for his swift action and dedication to the safety of students and staff, ” he said. 

Kong added that efforts to restore the school facilities are ongoing, with close cooperation between all parties involved. 

“The safety and well-being of the students remain our top priority, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure a secure environment,” he stressed.

He called to the public is encouraged to remain vigilant during unpredictable weather conditions and to report any similar damage that may pose risks to the community.
