

KUCHING: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) held the ‘OKU Prihatin: Sustainable Environment’ program today at PDK Mambong, engaging 25 trainees and staff from the centre.
MPP Chairman Tan Kai said the initiative aims to educate persons with disabilities (OKU) on environmental cleanliness, encourage active community participation, and promote sustainable practices.
Participants joined in practical activities including cleaning the surrounding area and painting the centre, creating an inclusive platform that brings together the local community and the OKU community.
A token presentation by Cr. Samsudin Sapri, MPP’s Public Affairs and Community Development Committee Chairman, highlighted the council’s continued support for social inclusion and environmental sustainability initiatives.
