
KUCHING: Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed that a police report was received on May 10, 2025, from a 41-year-old local man regarding an act of mischief involving explosive substance.
He said the incident occurred around 9.30 am at a house along Jalan Patingan, Kuching, where an unknown male suspect allegedly threw a molotov cocktail towards the complainant’s home.

A small part of the walls on the house was black where the molotov cocktail targeted it.
Alexson added that police are actively tracking down the suspect and that the case is being investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to seven years and may also include a fine.
ACP Alexson urged members of the public to come forward with any information related to the incident by contacting the Kuching District Police Control Centre at 082-244444, visiting the nearest police station, or reaching out directly to the investigating officer, ASP Joshua Masing anak Lugoh, at 017-9542048.
