
KUCHING : A 37-year-old man who was shot in the stomach and arm by his own friends that occurred around 4.00 am yesterday in Serikin, near Bau has three pellets taken out of his stomach and arm.
According to Bau District Police Chief DSP Dr Daram Ruer, the victim was shot by a shotgun and survived the shooting. He is now recuperating in Sarawak General Hospital.
“Initial investigations found that the victim and the suspects are known to each other,” Dr Daram said.
“We have arrested three men and one woman in connection with the case. All of them are in their 30s.”
The arrests were made shortly after the incident at Jalan Siol Kandis, Petra Jaya, Kuching.
The motive behind the shooting is suspected to be drugs and police are investigating.
