Man injured in self accident in Saratok

THE man vehicle overturned.

KUCHING: A 44-year-old female, Wong  from Sarikei, was heading towards Kuching when she lost control of his vehicle which overturned along KM 71.5 at Sarikei/Betong road. 

Saratok police chief, DSP Mathew Manggie said the victim sustained injuries after she crashed into both the left and right roadside barriers. 

He confirmed that the driver sustained injuries to the head, arms, and legs and is currently receiving treatment at Saratok Hospital. Her daughter aged 19 who was in the car escaped unhurt. 

The white Toyota Hilux sustained extensive damage from the crash and the case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules LN 166/59.

Mathew urged motorists to remain vigilant, especially along high-speed routes like the Pan Borneo Highway.
