KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii has expressed his full support for National Training Week (NTW) 2025, launched on 14 June by the Ministry of Human Resources at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Organised by HRD Corp and held in conjunction with the ASEAN Year of Skills, NTW 2025 offers over 65,000 free training courses and 1,000 learning activities under the theme “Learning Beyond Borders”. More than 2 million participants have joined so far, with 40% enrolled in Industry 4.0-related courses.
Dr Yii also highlighted the AI-4-Educators programme, which trained over 395,000 educators nationwide and was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. “This is a bold step towards building a digitally literate and future-ready generation,” he said.
Calling on Sarawak youths from rural and urban areas to participate, Dr Yii added, “These free courses are highly relevant to our people, covering digital literacy, AI, entrepreneurship, technical skills, arts, and life skills. I urge young Sarawakians to make full use of this opportunity to build a better future.”
