
KUCHING: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kuching will be hosting Corporate Visit 2.0-Startup and Training on August 23, from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm at GEM Consultancy Kuching.
The event is co-hosted by the Sarawak Entrepreneur Association (SEA) and Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM) Sarawak.
The programme is aimed at encouraging startups through training, guiding entrepreneurs on business licensing, and fostering networking opportunities with stakeholders. Registration is free for members, while non-members may join with a fee of RM25.
Participants will gain insights into several key areas, including company registration procedures, sales training techniques, Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) programmes, and the process of applying for halal certification. The event will also feature a “JCI in Business” (JIB) session, offering networking, business sharing, and pitching opportunities.
JCI, the world’s largest international youth NGO, has been providing leadership development platforms for young people aged 18 to 40 since 1915 across 127 countries. Since its establishment in 1956, JCI Kuching has been active in community development through character building, leadership training, and event organisation.
SEA, established in 2013, serves as a platform to empower young entrepreneurs in Sarawak, promoting cross-industry networking and international business connections. PUMM Sarawak, part of a nationwide association, supports SMEs through knowledge-sharing, networking, and business opportunities.
