BAU: The Bau District Police Headquarters held a handover ceremony on September 2, 2025, to mark the change of leadership for its District Police Chief post.
DSP Dr Daram Ruer officially handed over duties to acting Supt Mohd Haide A. Rahman, witnessed by Sarawak Police Commissioner, CP Dato Mancha Ata.
Dr Daram will take up his new role as Deputy District Police Chief in Padawan.
In conjunction with the event, the handover of the Bau IPD PERKEP Chairmanship was also held between Waly Ngarie and Hartini Yahaya, witnessed by Datin Jennita William, Chairwoman of Sarawak Contingent PERKEP.
Speaking at the ceremony, CP Dato Mancha Ata expressed confidence in the leadership transition.
“This smooth handover reflects the professionalism and commitment of our officers. I am confident the new leadership will continue strengthening public safety and community policing in Bau,” he said.
