KUCHING: The Batu Kitang Youth Charity Day food distribution was successfully held this morning at the 3rd Mile Market in conjunction with Wesak Day.
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd, with volunteers arriving early to help pack and distribute food to members of the community.
“Our hearts are full,” said Batu Kitang State Assemblyman Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang who kes the team to distribute the food.
He said this meaningful initiative reflects the true spirit of Wesak, compassion, generosity, and service and expressed pride of the youth section for stepping up to make a difference.
He also thanked donors and all those who contributed to the success of the event and let us continue to make a difference together.
The food distribution aimed to support the less fortunate and strengthen the bonds within the local community, fostering a spirit of unity and kindness in line with the values celebrated during Wesak Day.
