KUCHING: SK St Alban Sungai Tapang has made history by becoming the first government school in Kota Sentosa to be fully digitalised, following the installation of Smart Interactive TVs in all its classrooms.

Special Assistant to Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong Feng Nian, said the achievement marks a significant milestone in their ongoing effort to digitalise classrooms across Stampin and Kota Sentosa.

“Today, we are proud to announce another milestone in our effort to digitalise classrooms across Stampin and Kota Sentosa. We have handed over RM54,000 to SK St Alban Sungai Tapang for the purchase of four additional Smart Interactive TVs,” he said.

“With this latest allocation, SK St Alban Sungai Tapang officially becomes the first government school within Kota Sentosa to be fully equipped with Smart Interactive TVs in all its classrooms,” he added.

Kong noted that this transformation represents more than just a technological upgrade but also a major leap forward for the community of Kampung Sungai Tapang.

“Over the years, this school has undergone tremendous transformation. Not too long ago, SK St Alban Sungai Tapang still had dilapidated structures that were unsafe for students. Today, the school now has proper classrooms that are all fully digitalised, giving both teachers and students access to modern learning tools that enhance the quality of education,” he said.

He said that these upgrades will help teachers deliver lessons more effectively and make learning more interactive for students.

“We will continue our efforts to ensure that every school in Kota Sentosa and Stampin benefits from the same level of digital advancement so that no child is left behind in the era of digital learning,” he said.
