SAC Lim Bak Phai outlines the success of raids by PGA

KUCHING: The Sarawak Brigade of the General Operations Force (PGA) has recorded 27 successful operations under Op Taring Alpha, Op Taring Bravo and Op Taring Batas/Awas conducted between September 27 and October 13, with total seizures valued at RM15.6 million.

Sarawak PGA Brigade Commanding Officer SAC Lim Bak Phai said the operations were carried out by intelligence and infantry units from Battalion 10 (Sibu), Battalion 11 (Kuching), Battalion 12 (Miri) and Battalion 23 (Sri Aman) throughout Sarawak, focusing on curbing smuggling activities involving cigarettes, liquor, controlled goods, frozen products, sawn timber and counterfeit currency, particularly along border areas and major towns.

“These achievements reflect the tactical efficiency of our intelligence units and the operational capability of our personnel on the ground. They have not only succeeded in detecting and dismantling smuggling activities but also arrested the suspects involved and seized various vehicles used in these crimes,” said Lim.
